Description

Oreo Tiramisu is a delightful and easy-to-make dessert with layers of creamy mascarpone, rich espresso, and crushed oreos. Perfect for gatherings or a nice end to a meal, it’s sure to impress with its irresistible flavor and simple preparation.


Ingredients

  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 150 g (¾ cup) granulated sugar
  • 28 g (2 tablespoon) water
  • 454 g (2, 8 oz tubs) mascarpone, cold
  • 150 g (⅔ cup) freshly brewed espresso
  • 40 oreos
  • cocoa powder, for dusting


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the egg yolks thoroughly until foamy and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine half of the granulated sugar with water. Heat on medium while stirring until it reaches 240 degrees F.
  3. Slowly drizzle the hot sugar syrup into the whisked egg yolks while continuing to whisk vigorously. Keep whisking for 1-2 minutes until cool.
  4. Once cooled, mix in the cold mascarpone until fully integrated. Refrigerate this mixture while preparing the meringue.
  5. In a medium heatproof bowl, whisk the egg whites with salt and the remaining sugar. Place over simmering water and whisk until it reaches 120 degrees F.
  6. Remove from heat and whisk with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  7. Gently fold the meringue into the mascarpone and egg yolk mixture until well combined.

Notes

For best results, ensure the mascarpone is very cold before mixing.
Allow the tiramisu to chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight for better flavor development.
