Description

Sourdough Cheesy Pepperoni Pull-Apart Bread is an easy-to-make treat that combines fluffy sourdough, melty mozzarella, and savory pepperoni. It’s delightful for cozy dinners or snack times, offering a wonderful blend of flavors that everyone will love!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf sourdough bread
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 ounces pepperoni chopped
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 16 ounces pizza sauce or marinara for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Shred the mozzarella cheese and chop the pepperoni into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.
  3. With a bread knife, slice across the loaf of sourdough bread about 1 inch apart without cutting all the way through the bottom. Rotate and slice again to create a crisscross pattern.
  4. Gently pull open the cuts and pack the mozzarella and pepperoni evenly into the loaf.
  5. Melt the butter and mix in the Italian seasoning, dried parsley, and garlic salt. Brush the mixture generously over the bread, allowing it to seep into the cuts.
  6. Wrap the loaf in aluminum foil and place it on the baking sheet. Bake covered for 30 minutes to melt the cheese.
  7. After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake uncovered for another 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Remove from the oven, let it cool slightly, and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding different herbs or spices to the butter mixture.
You can substitute pepperoni with other toppings like cooked sausage or vegetables for variation.
