- 3/4 cup salted butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- bright colored sanding sugar
- 24 hershey kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unwrap the Kisses and set them aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, softened butter, egg, and vanilla and beat until well mixed.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking soda together.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture and beat until a dough forms.
- Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, roll them in bright colored sanding sugar, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the oven for 7 minutes.
- Upon removing from the oven, immediately press the unwrapped Kisses into the center of each cookie.
- Allow the cookies to cool completely so the Kisses can set before serving.
Notes
Make sure the butter is softened for easy mixing.
