Description

These Spring Blossom Cookies are a delightful treat featuring a soft, buttery cookie base topped with a delicious Hershey’s Kiss. Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • bright colored sanding sugar
  • 24 hershey kisses, unwrapped


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unwrap the Kisses and set them aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, softened butter, egg, and vanilla and beat until well mixed.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking soda together.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture and beat until a dough forms.
  6. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls, roll them in bright colored sanding sugar, and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the oven for 7 minutes.
  8. Upon removing from the oven, immediately press the unwrapped Kisses into the center of each cookie.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool completely so the Kisses can set before serving.

Notes

Make sure the butter is softened for easy mixing.
Using a variety of colored sanding sugars can enhance the appearance of your cookies.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
