  • ¼ cup (2 oz/57 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dry milk powder
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup (4 fl oz/120 ml) whole milk, lukewarm
  • 1 large egg, at room temperature
  • 4 tablespoons (2 oz/57 g) butter, melted
  • egg wash, for glazing


Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water, milk, and bread flour over low heat.
  2. Whisk the mixture until it thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and allow it to cool.

Notes
